Celebrating Holy Name Globally
Chanting in the Middle East from Ekalavya Das on Vimeo.
Sept 11 - 17, 2010
Celebrating World Holy Name Festival 2010, I, Ekalavya Das, visited devotees of Mathuradesh in the Middle East.
Due to restrictions from the Muslim Government, I had to attend the programs dressed not in dhoti, but in pants.
We hung a sign, "Personality Development Seminar", in case any of the locals chanced to visit our program.
Every day there were blissful Kirtans in a basement rented hall so that the general public would not be aware of the programs.
Devotees enjoyed satsangas like a blissful Radhastami celebration with more than 400 in attendance.
"Vaishnava Relationships" and "Glories of the Holy Names" were the topics of some of the lectures.
