all glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!
At the beginning of this year's World Holy Name Week
WHNW (
http://www.worldholyname.com), which is taking place from the 10th of September until the 20th of September on a worldwide basis, we're going to have a 12hour-kirtana at the Zurich temple for the pleasure of Sri Harinama Prabhu and Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga (and Bhaktivinoda Thakur - it's going to be his appearance day)!
The kirtana will take place in the temple room and it will start with the Bhoga-Aratik at 12pm noon on Saturday, 10th of September.
Thereafter, we will do Hare Krishna Maha-mantra kirtana until midnight, only pausing for the regular temple programs. In case the weather allows it, a part of the group might be going to the lake to do bhajans for some hours in the afternoon.
We would be so happy if as many people as possible took part in this kirtana, because the more devotees sing together, the greater is the chance that Sri Sri Radha-Krishna gets to hear us in the spiritual world!
So this is our program for the World Holy Name Week:
10th Sept. (Bhaktivinoda Thakur's appearance day): 12h-kirtana in the temple room, depending on the weather maybe kirtana at the lake in the afternoon, too
11th Sept. (Haridasa Thakur's disapperance day): Regular Sunday kirtanas, i.e. 12 - 1pm, 3 - 4pm and 8 - 9.30pm
16th-18th Sept.: Kirtana-tent at the "Tribal Gathering" near Bern (
www.tribaldance.ch). We will put a big tent there, do a lot of Hare Krishna maha-mantra kirtana and some devotees will also prepare some prasadam. Whoever would like to help or participate, please get in touch with Krishna Prema Rupa (
