> REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF “WORLD HOLY NAME WEEK” ON BEHALF OF
> SRI KRISHNA BALARAM TEMPLE, ISKCON, BHUBANESWAR, ODISHA.

> According to the decision taken in the meeting held on 23.8.2009 in
> presence of H.H. Bhakti Gourab Narayan Swami Maharaj, Zonal Secretary
> Orissa & H.G. Jag Jiban Das, O.S.D. & R.G.B. for celebration of the “World
> Holy Name Week” from 2.9.09 to 11.9.09, it was decided to celebrate the
> said occasion at Bhubaneswar on 5th September & at Cuttack on 6th
> September 2009. The another meeting for this purpose was held on 29.8.2009
> and the details of programme were chalked out to celebrate the festival at
> Bhubaneswar & Cuttack city.
> Accordingly a grand Mahanagar Sankirtan Padayatra was started from Sri
> Krishna Balaram Temple, ISKCON Bhubaneswar with the Bigraha of Srila
> Prabhupad in a decorated Bullock Cart and other attractive banner etc. The
> Mahanagar Sankirtan Padayatra started by 2.30P.M. from ISKCON Temple with
> hundred of the inmate and congregational devotees, many followers, good
> wishers via CRP square, Gundicha Temple, power house square, Govt.
> Hospital, Mausima Mandir and reached at Lingaraj Temple by 6P.M. by
> covering heart of Bhubaneswar city a distance around 12K.M. After arrival
> of Mahanagar Sankirtan Krishna Prasad was distributed to the eight hundred
> numbers of devotees as well as public.
> Then a Pendal programme was organized by 6.30P.M. at Bhajan Mandap, near
> Lingaraj Temple. Dr. Prasan Kumar Patsani, M.P. Bhubaneswar and Dr. Fakir
> Mohan Das participated as the Chief Speaker & the Chief Guest and
> glorified about Srila Prabhupad & the activities of ISKCON. They also
> appreciated about this celebration under taken by ISKCON, Bhubaneswar.
> After end of pendal programme a spiritual drama named “Mahamantra” was
> performed by devotees of ISKCON Temple Bhubaneswar at 8.00P.M. & it was
> continued up to 10P.M. night.
> On the whole the celebration for World Holy Name Week observed on 5.9.2009
> at Bhubaneswar was grand success. The ISKCON Temple Berhampur, Gadeigiri
> and other were participated in the function.
> Celebration of World Holy Name Week at Cuttack 6.9.2009
> At Cuttack a Mahangar Sankirtan Padayatra was started by 11A.M. from Sri
> Jagannath Temple, Chandini Chowk via High Court, Balu Bazar, Chouduri
> Bazar, Tinikonia Bagicha, Buxi Bazar, Cuttack Chandi Mandir, Shekh Bazar,
> Mahamadia Bazar, Prajatantra office & was end at Chandini Chowk by 1P.M.
> About 250nos inmate devotees of Bhubaneswar Temple, Congregational
> devotees of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack accompany with followers were
> participated in the Sankirtan Padayatra. After end of Mahangar Sankirtan
> all devotee went to Bhaktivedanta Ashram, ISKCON, Santha Nagar, Sector-7,
> C.D.A. Cuttack and there glorification of Srila Prabhupad was made up to
> 2P.M. Then Krishna Prasad was distributed to all the participants.
> The celebrate programme at Cuttack was also made grand success like
> Bhubaneswar.
