Celebrating Holy Name Globally
Every year, ISKCON is entirely re-focusing its
attention on the Holy Name of the Lord. Initially, this initiative was
started on a one-day-basis, but then the day expanded into a week and
the week expanded into a whole festival which now lasts for several
weeks. Further information, please check: www.worldholyname.com
It is a wonderful opportunity for all those devotees who would like to
deepen their relationship with the Holy Name by dedicating more time
and attention to Sri Harinama Prabhu.
There is no way around the Kali-yuga-dharma Harinama-sankirtana for those
souls who wish to attain spiritual perfection in this age. Therefore,
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu has especially appeared in this Kali-yuga to
practically demonstrate the singing of the Lord's Holy Names in
separation.
The first verse of Sri Siksastakam contains the most essential conclusions of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's teachings:
"Let there be supreme victory for the chanting of the Holy Name of Sri
Krishna, which cleanses the mirror of the heart and completely
extinguishes the blazing forest fire of material existence.
Sri-krishna-sankirtana diffuses the sotohing moon rays of bhava which
cause the white lotus of good fortune for the jivas to bloom. The Holy
Name is the life and soul of transcendental knowledge, since Vidya
(divya-sarasvati-devi) is Sri Nama Prabhu's consort. It continuously
increases the ocean of transcendental bliss, enabling one to taste
complete nectar at every step. The Holy Name thoroughly bathes and
cools the body, mind and soul."
Therefore we're very happy to present our program for the World Holy Name
Festival (WHNF) and we're very much hoping for your participation, too!
Feed-backs and inputs are welcome at any time, too.
Spiritual greetings from the Hare-Krishna-Temple,
your servant,
Sandesh Devi Dasi
(WHNF-program: See below)
