Cheerfully chanting the holy names,

Filled the ether with Lords Fame,

Attracted Thousands and millions sane,

Drowned in the nectarine Ocean of HOLY NAME …

By the blessings of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhubada, we at pune tried Pune once again to chant and spread the holy name to millions of hearts during the Holy name festival 2010. The divine inspiration of HH Lokanatha Swami Maharaj and enthusiastic guidance of HG Ekalavya Prabhu and HG RadheShyam Prabhu, dragged all to evoke their zeal and participate with full energy. All devotees participated in the HariNaam Sankirtan- the Congregational chanting of the Holy names on the streets of pune for 8 consecutive days in different parts of Pune city distributing the Holy name by singing the sweetest and melodious Hare Krishna MahaMantra .This was followed with a tumultuous and thunderous troop of musicians

that rocked the crowd on Street, shops and malls,

The students, the old and young, ….the small, the big and kids

Dancing on their toes with joyful retreat.

Especially people reached their zenith when HG Eklavya Prabhu made his entry with his heart melting trumpet and HG Gopinath Prabhu with his base guitar vibrations for 3days. The kartals, Mridanga and Zambe added to the sweetest flavor. Especially the college youths who were busy in their own world came in and joined the Harinaam Sankirtan and got the real nectar.

Also the temple became more vibrant by the 12 hour kirtan on 4 days by the Congregation devotees, Youth Forum devotees and the temple devotees who offered the garlands of Holy Name to Sri Sri RadhaKunjaBihari and Sri Sri GaurNitai. Mesmerizing musical kirtans and Bhajans in the traditional Hindustani shastriya sangeet style, the karnataki shastriya style and nonetheless with some western tunes to rockers... all were the sweetest offering to their Lordships enthralling all and magnetizing all people meditate and pray more deeply..

Such surcharged atmosphere of Holy Name then infused the compelling zest in all devotees and their friends and the congregation devotees to encompass and soak themselves in the sweet Holy names of Hare Krishna MahaMantra .All the devotees made it once again in JAPATHON 2010 – a resolution to chant 108crore Holy names. Especially HG Ramprasad Prabhu, a captain in Merchants navy inspired more than 90 new spiritual aspirants to chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra

All the Congregation devotees, VOICE devotees and all the Temple devotees flooded their Score cards rounding it to an alarming score of 108 crore Holy Names in just 14 days. Calling out HARI BOL!!!! Many received specially designed attractive bead bags from the lotus hands of HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj as their prizes encouraging and motivating them to do it consistently and in more number.

Holy Name Festival has increased the potentials for more number of people to get attracted to Krishna Consciousness and lead a happy and pure life for their soul’s actual journey.
